Cabeça de Orfeu 2009
O que acontece no minuto que antecede a morte, quando cenas de toda a vida passam em flashes com num filme, num sonho, em nossa mente, como se fossem revividos os momentos mais importantes da trajetória de uma pessoa.
O projeto do espetáculo Cabeça de Orfeu – um trabalho de quatro meses de criação e dois de temporada, que foi contemplado pelo 4º edital do Programa de Fomento à Dança da Cidade de São Paulo – também alicerçou sua pesquisa no mito de Orfeu para abordar a passagem da vida para a morte. Inspirado no trabalho-experimento Orfee’s Head , criado para o 2º ano do departamento de Dança Teatro (MTD) da escola de artes de Amsterdam (AHK) – Theaterschool em março de 2007.
Do you believe there is something in common among the experiences people have when confronting death?
Flashes of our life pass through our mind at the minute preceding death, as if it were a dream or a film, as if we could live the most important moments of our lives all over again.
By trying to understand this scenery, there is an almost undetectable combination between imagination and memory. From this fusion comes the dreamful ness, creating awareness for the gap of reason.
Cabeça de Orfeu is the result of a deep research of Orpheus Greek Myth, inspired by the Orfee’s Head piece, a project developed by Jorge Garcia for the Amsterdam Theaterschool in 2007. The spectacle was also prized with the 4th edition of the Dance Circulation in São Paulo.
